The arrest of two ISIS leaders and the dismantling of a terrorist cell in Salah al-Din and Kirkuk

The Counter-Terrorism Service arrested two leaders of the terrorist ISIS, while it managed to dismantle a terrorist cell in Salah al-Din and Kirkuk.

The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yahya Rasoul, said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "with the determination of the brave men, rapid and qualitative pre-emptive operations continue with the arms of the anti-terrorist apparatus formations that carried out a series of successful operations, as they managed to dismantle a terrorist cell consisting of four Members of ISIS gangs in Salah al-Din governorate, as they began carrying out another duty in Kirkuk governorate, which resulted in the arrest of two terrorists.

He added, "According to accurate intelligence from the Iraqi National Intelligence Service, a special force from the Counter-Terrorism Service carried out an airdrop duty in the Zghitoun Valley, south of Kirkuk Governorate, which resulted in the arrest of the two so-called logistical support officials for ISIS gangs in it, the two terrorists, as well as finding Secret warehouses of food for the remains of terrorist elements.”
