Supreme Committee for National Health and Safety issued new decisions to fight and contain COVID-19.
The Committee decided to impose lockdown and curfew starting off from February 18th, 08:00 am – 05:00 pm, for a period of two weeks, indicating that the committee excluded health, security forces, service departments and vegetable stores from Curfew, in addition to press after obtaining approvals from the competent authorities, according to a source statement that Iraqi News Agency –INA obtained.
It also decided to close all massage and beauty centers, parks, mosques and Hussainiyat for a period of two weeks, while imposing a fine of five million for violators. It also decided to ban funerals, and wedding parties in event halls that are to be closed from February 15th until further notice.
The source included that "education in governmental and private schools, institutes and colleges will be online based starting from February 18, with the exception of the final stages of medical students,”
