Security forces secure a crossing road to help return displaced people in Al-Azim

The Commander of the Ninth Armored Division, Major General Walid Majeed, announced today, Sunday, the securing of the al-Mata Crossing, the link between al-Azim district and the Bishkan area, to transport military units and citizens.

Majid told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "A security operation was launched through the Salah al-Din Operations Command and Diyala Operations Command, and with the involvement of the 9th Armored Division units within the Salah al-Din Operations Command, which aims to clear al-Azim valley.”

He explained, "The process lasted for several days, during which a number of areas were cleared, and al-Azim valley was cleaned and bulldozed, in addition to controlling the al-Matha crossing, restoring it and establishing it completely for the purpose of returning the displaced families present within the Salah al-Din operation sector.

He added that "the dead crossing is ready for the transfer of military units and citizens after controlling it from the sectors of Salah al-Din and Diyala."
