The President of the Republic, Dr. Barham Salih, called today, Friday, to correct political tracks, expressing condolences on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Mr. Muhammad Sadiq Al-Sadr.
A statement of the President's Media Office received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated that “the President of the Republic attributed the anniversary of the martyrdom of Grand Ayatollah Muhammad Sadiq al-Sadr and his two sons,” referring to his “positions and ideas for which he sacrificed in the face of injustice and tyranny.”
Salih said, "The need is increasing today to unify efforts and mobilize the Iraqis to strengthen the security and sovereignty of the country, protect the stability and peace of citizens, and work to correct political paths in response to the will and aspirations of Iraqis for a free and decent life, based on a state of institutions that establishes the values of tolerance and solidarity among all spectrums of the people."

On the anniversary of the martyrdom of the Ayatollah Muhammad Muhammad Sadiq al-Sadr (may God bless his soul) and his two noble sons (may God have mercy on them), we recall the timeless images and meanings and the noble exploits embodied by the life and march of the martyr reference, Muhammad Sadiq al-Sadr.
We also recall with high pride and appreciation the honorable stances of his eminence for which he was martyred, and the ideas he called for in order to confront injustice and tyranny, uphold the principles of freedom and justice, and mobilize the Iraqis' energies to build and develop Iraq.
The fragrant biography of the martyr leader eminence Al-Sadr and his opposition to a dictatorial dictatorship calls on us to unify our efforts to preserve the security and sovereignty of Iraq in a capable and sovereign state, to consolidate the foundations of stability and peace for all Iraqis, and to work to correct political tracks in a manner that meets the will and aspirations of our people.
