MOE: The Gulf connection will be completed in the summer of 2022

The Ministry of Electricity confirmed that the government is serious about establishing the Gulf interconnection project, suggesting that the project will be ready during the summer of 2022.
Ministry spokesman Ahmed Musa told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The government is proceeding seriously with the establishment of the Gulf Linkage Project," stressing that "cooperation is tangible and significant in terms of the Gulf linkage and the Gulf Cooperation Council," suggesting that the project will be ready during the summer of 2022.
He added that "there is a great possibility, whether from the Iraqi government or the Gulf Linkage Authority and the Gulf Cooperation Council, to proceed with the electrical interconnection project."
