Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein expressed Iraq’s aspiration for a long-term partnership with the United States.
During the emergency meeting of Arab foreign ministers, Hussein valued the Arab countries’ positions for offering condolences to the Iraqi government following the recent terrorist act that took place in Tayaran Square in the capital, Baghdad, welcoming at the same time the return of relations between Arab brothers, in addition to calling for strengthening Cooperation in the face of terrorism.
The foreign minister referred to "Iraq's aspiration to a long-term partnership with the US," stressing "Iraq's steadfast position on the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination, in addition to Iraq's position on promoting joint Arab action.
