IHEC announces the statistics of the approved parties and alliances

The Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) revealed statistics of the approved parties, approved alliances, and the number of updated persons, while noting that the distribution of biometric cards amounted to more than 13 million cards.
Commission spokeswoman Jumana Al-Ghalai told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The number of approved political parties reached 238, and the number of requests for registration of parties under establishment reached 68," indicating that "the number of requests from parties that expressed their desire to participate in the elections for 2021 reached 77 request. "
She added: "With regard to alliances, the ratified number reached 29 coalitions, distributed into 4 coalitions for the year 2021, and 25 for the year 2018," noting that "the number of electoral alliances under registration reached nine coalitions and the number of alliances that showed the desire to participate in the 2021 parliamentary elections is 6 Alliances. "
Regarding the modernizers, Al-Ghalai confirmed that "the number of those who updated their data reached 793 thousand and 498, and 9 thousand and 298 displaced persons are displaced."
