The Border Ports Authority announced that commercial traffic will not be covered by the decision to close the land border crossings.
The head of the Border Ports Authority, Omar Al-Waili, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), today, Tuesday, that "commercial traffic will not be affected by the decision to close the ports for a period of two weeks," stressing that "the closure decision will be reviewed after two weeks."
He indicated that directives were issued to all ports to take the utmost health measures and prevent mixing to ensure the safety of workers and to ensure the flow of goods.
The Cabinet took a number of decisions to confront the new strain of Coronavirus, including closing all land border crossings, except for emergency cases.
