Today, Thursday, the Media and Communications Authority announced its readiness to provide the requirements for establishing the National Telecommunications Company.
In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the commission welcomed the text of the House of Representatives decision issued today and proposed by the Parliamentary Communications and Media Committee, which includes obligating the government to establish a national joint stock company for communications.
The statement added, "This company will contribute to the development of the telecommunications sector in the country, open the door to competition and maximize the financial revenues of the annual federal budget," noting "the authority's full readiness to support and provide all the procedures related to it that are required to establish the National Telecommunications Company, in a manner that does not conflict with Competition market and laws in force in the country. "
