PM stresses the importance of documenting the crimes of ISIS gangs

The Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, today, Tuesday, received the Special Adviser and Head of the United Nations Investigation Team to Promote Accountability for Crimes Committed by the terrorist ISIS, Karim Asaad Ahmed Khan.

A statement by the Prime Minister's Media Office received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated that "during the meeting, efforts were discussed to document the crimes of the terrorist ISIS gangs that were committed in Iraq, and the government's great willingness to provide assistance and cooperate with the UN mission in this regard."

According to the statement, Al- Kadhimi stressed "the importance of documenting the crimes of the terrorist ISIS gangs that committed against Iraqis," indicating that "it will be an important step towards strengthening societal peace and strengthening national unity in the country, in a manner that preserves the rights of victims and prevents the recurrence of such crimes."
