Cabinet spokesman Hassan Nadhim confirmed today, Tuesday, that the Halfaya gas project will enter service in 2022, while indicating that the current government does not intend to escalate.
"The current government does not envisage escalation and has dealt with security challenges with patience and wisdom," Nadhim said during the weekly cabinet press conference attended by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) correspondent.
He added, "The Minister of Health confirmed the completion of the procedures with Pfizer to import the Corona vaccine," noting that "the Cabinet voted on the continuation of the implementation of the Hilla sewage project, and the Ministry of Transport proceeded to contract the construction of two ships, while it voted to address the Nasiriyah refinery project, as well as vote on Supporting the implementation of the South refinery project.
He pointed out that "the Halfaya gas project will enter service in 2022."
He continued, "The 2021 budget is the beginning of the implementation of the comprehensive reform plan," noting that "the white paper is the beginning of the desired reform."
Regarding the Iranian delegations, Nadhim commented, "The discussions with the Iranian delegations focused on security and economic aspects."
