MOH confirms the possibility of using AstraZeneca vaccines in Iraq

The Ministry of Health confirmed the possibility of using the AstraZeneca and Cinopharm vaccines inside Iraq, after it was approved by the National Medicines Selection Authority.

The spokesman for the ministry, Dr. Saif Al-Badr, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), today, Tuesday, that "approving the two vaccines falls within the ministry's policy of opening up to countries and international companies specialized in producing the Corona vaccine."

He pointed out that "the Ministry of Health has been in continuous contact for months with the vaccine manufacturers, in coordination with the World Health Organization," stressing that "there is a committee of experts and advisors in epidemiology, respiratory pathology, virology and others in a continuous session headed by Minister Hassan Al-Tamimi."
