Hoshyar: Erbil airport infrastructure was not damaged

The director of Erbil International Airport confirmed today, Tuesday, that the airport's infrastructure was not damaged by the missile targeting.

The airport manager, Ahmed Hoshyar, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "the airport administration opened air traffic to travelers after closing it since yesterday as a result of the terrorist attack."

He pointed out that "the infrastructure and the airport buildings have not suffered any damage as a result of the rockets falling on the city of Erbil."

The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yahya Rasoul, confirmed today, Tuesday, that the security of Erbil is from the security of Iraq, stressing that the investigative committee formed is able to reach results.

Rasoul told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces has formed a joint investigative committee between the federal government and the Kurdistan region to find out the circumstances of the attack on Erbil airport," noting that "this committee will work and will reach results after the investigation is completed."

He pointed out that "the investigation committee is able to reach results and send the investigation to the Commander in Chief."
