Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi stressed Today, Tuesday the importance of resolving the outstanding problems between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government within the framework of the constitution.
The media office of the Speaker of Parliament said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Al-Halbousi received the delegation of the Kurdistan Democratic Party headed by Hoshyar Zebari to discuss developments in the political, security and economic conditions, and the most important challenges facing the country."
He added, "The federal general budget for the fiscal year 2021 was also discussed, and an emphasis was placed on resolving the outstanding problems between the federal government and the regional government within the framework of the constitution and working to achieve social justice," noting that "the two parties also discussed the issue of early elections, and during that emphasis was placed on Create appropriate conditions for elections, and that there are strong government measures to support the Independent High Electoral Commission and secure the electoral process.
