Al-Kadhimi: Dark groups have failed in their destructive agendas for Iraq

Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi confirmed, today, Thursday, that dark groups have failed in their destructive agendas for Iraq

The media office of the prime minister said, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Prime Minister Mustafa Al- Kadhimi received today the members of the Council of Heads of Christian Sects in Iraq."

The statement quoted Al- Kadhimi as saying: "We Iraqis are strong in our diversity, cultures and different religions, and we will remain thus a symbol of coexistence, tolerance and true citizenship, despite all the challenges of dark groups that have failed in their destructive agendas for the beautiful Iraq."

He stated that "Iraq would not be an Iraq without its Christians, as the Iraqi Christian presence is a witness to the breadth of Iraqi civilization and its independent extension since the establishment of the Kingdom of Manhathra in the land of Mesopotamia, which was a civilized extension of the kingdoms that preceded it in Maysan and Hatra."

The Prime Minister directed, to follow up the requests of the heads of the Christian sects, "stressing the necessity for all state institutions to cooperate in providing normal conditions for a decent life for all Iraqis."
