The Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Hamid Naim Al-Ghazi, discussed today, Tuesday, with the Chinese Ambassador to Baghdad Zhao Tang, the file of establishing schools in the provinces.
A statement by the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated that "the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers discussed with the Chinese ambassador the file of establishing schools in Baghdad and the provinces, which was approved by the Supreme Committee for School Building, which is included in the Iraq-China agreement."
The Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers stressed that "the Iraqi government has a strong desire to activate the Iraqi-Chinese agreement, and that the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers has reached advanced stages regarding the allocation of plots of land on which (1000) schools will be established as an initial stage, and invitations will be delivered to Chinese companies as soon as possible time, and completion of the administrative and technical procedures for signing the contract, provided that it does not exceed the fifteenth of next January.
With regard to the rehabilitation project of Nasiriyah International Airport, Al-Ghazi pointed out that "the technical team formed in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers continues to communicate with the executing company by putting the final touches, pending the identification of the private consulting company for the project, which will be determined by the Civil Aviation Authority." Al-Iraqi opened prospects for cooperation with the Chinese company Huawei, to train and develop the skills of Iraqi staff working on the e-governance program, and it was agreed to start holding courses during the next week.
