Rasoul: The results of the committee formed regarding targeting Erbil will be announced after the completion of the investigation

The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yahya Rasoul, confirmed today, Tuesday, that the security of Erbil is from the security of Iraq, stressing that the investigation committee formed is able to reach results.

Rasoul told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces has formed a joint investigative committee between the federal government and the Kurdistan region to find out the circumstances of the attack on Erbil airport," noting that "this committee will work and will reach results after the investigation is completed."

He pointed out that "the investigation committee is able to reach results and send the investigation to the Commander in Chief."

On the other hand, Major General Rasoul said: "Investigations are continuing with the gang that was arrested in Basra Governorate, which is the most dangerous and largest gang," stressing that "the results will appear if the investigations are completed by the competent authorities."

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, had directed the formation of a joint investigation committee regarding the targeting of Erbil airport.

The Security Media Cell stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces directed the formation of a joint investigation committee with the competent authorities in the Kurdistan region of Iraq, to ​​find out the party behind the incident of a number of missiles on Erbil International Airport and its approaches on Monday evening. As a result, a number of people were injured.
