The Ministry of Interior in the Kurdistan region announced today, Tuesday, that it had found a car carrying several missiles between Erbil and Al Kuwair.
A statement from the ministry, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that “after last night’s attack, several rockets hit Erbil International Airport and several residential neighborhoods in Erbil, killing one person and wounding eight others, including five at the airport and three others in the city. As well as causing material damage to a number of homes and businesses. "
He continued, "After the anti-terrorism forces, Asayish and the police began an immediate investigation, in cooperation with the international coalition forces, a Kia vehicle was found between Erbil and Al Kuwair carrying several missiles."
He pointed out that "the attack last night was carried out with the same mechanism, method and behavior that was used in the previous attack on Erbil International Airport, while investigations are still ongoing to uncover the perpetrators of the attack," stressing that "all those involved in the attack will be exposed and receive their fair penalty."
