Salih: The security and stability of Iraq are two basic factors for the stability of the region

The President of the Republic, Barham Salih, stressed today, Sunday, that the security and stability of Iraq are essential factors for the stability and prosperity of the region and its peoples.
The Media Office of the Presidency of the Republic said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "The President of the Republic, Barham Salih, received today, Sunday, February 14, 2021, at the Baghdad Palace, a delegation that included a number of Arab personalities from Egypt, Jordan, Sudan and Tunisia," pointing out that "it took place." During the meeting, they discussed developments in the Arab and regional arenas, and the challenges facing the region and its people, especially the Corona pandemic and its health and economic implications, as well as the threat of terrorism.
He added, "The President of the Republic stressed the necessity for cooperation and solidarity in facing these challenges, overcoming crises and tensions, communication and dialogue to ensure Arab and regional security and stability, and moving towards horizons of economic, cultural and development cooperation, noting that the security, stability and sovereignty of Iraq represent a fundamental factor for the stability of the whole region and the interests of its peoples and their aspirations towards better life".
