Al-Halbousi confirms his support for the work of the Electoral Commission

Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi stressed, today, Tuesday, the importance of supporting the work of the Independent High Electoral Commission for the success of the electoral process.
The media office of the Speaker of Parliament said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Al-Halbousi received the Ministers of Education, Higher Education and Scientific Research, and both the Deputy Minister of Interior and the heads of the Independent High Electoral Commission in addition to accountability, justice and integrity, and that the meeting took place in the presence of the committee members.”
The statement added, "Al-Halbousi stressed the importance of checking the names of candidates for the elections by the Accountability, Justice, Criminal Evidence, Integrity and Validity of Certificates Commission," indicating "the need to support the work of the Independent High Electoral Commission, and answer the Commission's inquiries, each party according to its competence, and within a period of 15 days in application Of Article 44 of the Iraqi Parliament Elections Law No. 9 of 2020.”
