Al-Ghazi assures the government's interest in strengthening economic relations between Baghdad and Paris

The Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Hamid Naim Al-Ghazi, confirmed today, Tuesday, the government's interest in strengthening economic relations with France.

The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "Al-Ghazi discussed with the French ambassador to Iraq, Bruno Hubert, and the vital investment projects that are to be established by French companies in Iraq."

Al-Ghazi pointed out, "the Iraqi government's interest in consolidating economic and trade relations between Iraq and France and activating the outcomes of the meeting between Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadimi and French President Emmanuel Macron."

For his part, the French ambassador praised "the cooperation shown by the Iraqi government with the French side, represented in activating the agreements and memorandums of understanding signed between the two parties and the willingness of French companies to start activating those agreements and initiate the rehabilitation project for Mosul International Airport and the suspension railway."
