Prime Minister and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, confirmed on Wednesday, that the security services have the full potentials to meet the challenges.

During his meeting with the members of Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee, Al-Kadhimi said: “Since the first day of the establishment of this system, some forces have played a role that led to Iraq being an arena for settling conflicts. This caused many losses to our children and our people, as Iraq lived through years of war of attrition. We lost a lot, and there was no civil war in Iraq. Rather, there were groups that tried to make illusions, and kidnapped religious and national addresses to exploit them in political agendas against Iraq,”

Al-Kadhimi also indicated that the war drained a lot of Iraqis, and it was the main reason behind the economic crisis, and eventually being unable to build up over the past years.
