The Basra Investment Commission revealed today, Tuesday, the establishment of a pharmaceutical factory at a cost of 54 million dollars.
The head of the commission, Alaa Abdul-Hussein Salman, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The Basra Investment Authority will allocate an area of (40) acres for the establishment of a pharmaceutical production plant, according to the planned location in the southwest of Basra Governorate, at a cost exceeding $ 54 million.
Salman added that "a local investor has been attracted in partnership with a Canadian investing company with distinguished experience in the field of medicines," noting that, "upon completion, the laboratory will produce about 60 types of various and multi-use medicines and treatments such as analgesics, anti-inflammatories, allergies, infections, and treating joints." "Diseases of the blood, diseases of the digestive system, diseases of the respiratory system, diseases of the heart and blood vessels, diseases of the nervous system."
