MOA directs to pay attention to the palms sector

Minister of Agriculture Muhammad Karim Al-Khafaji directed to pay attention to the palm sector and to increase the proliferation of the Al-Barhi and Medjoul varieties.
In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the Ministry of Agriculture stated, "Al-Khafaji directed attention to the palm sector and the increase in the proliferation of the Al-Barhi and Al-Majhoul varieties because of the importance of the Iraqi palm tree as the identity of Iraq, as well as the increasing demand by farmers for the Al-Barhi and Majoul categories."
