Today, Friday, the Border Ports Authority confirmed its commitment to the decisions of the Supreme Committee to close the borders to foreign visitors.

A statement by the commission received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated that "videos have spread on social media sites dealing with the attempts to enter visitors from the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Iraqi borders through the common ports between the two countries."

"The Commission affirmed its full commitment to the decisions of the Supreme Committee for National Health and Safety, which confirmed the closure of the land borders to the entry of Iranian and foreign visitors alike due to the spread of the Corona pandemic, and to protect our people from the spread of this epidemic," stressing that it "adheres to the controls and instructions that stipulated exit Iraqis across land borders who are students in Iranian universities and patients (cancer, amputation of a limb, and people with high pressure who cannot travel by air).
